Charging the Battery

The First Time...
When you first setup your Mæstro
900 DSS, you must charge your
Handset for at least 10 hours. Place
the Handset into the Base, with the
display facing up, to charge.
Every Time After...
When your battery is low and you
are on a call, a prompt will appear
and a tone will sound, letting you
know you should end your call and
recharge immediately.
Place the Handset into the Base,
with the display facing you —
ensure that the Handset and Base
contacts touch.

to leave the Handset in the Base for
at least 10 hours to charge.

hint:
— The display may remain blank
for approximately 10 minutes,
every time you charge a dead
battery.
— Your Handset will be warm to
the touch after charging—this
is normal.
You may receive up to 7 days of
standby battery time* when the
battery pack is fully charged and the
Power Saver option is ON (see
“PowerSaver ON/OFF” on
page 11).

Battery hints:
— Always charge the Handset
for at least 10 hours.
— Place the Handset in the Base,
with the display facing you.
— For the best performance, let
the battery pack run down
until the
Low battery
message appears before
recharging. This will maximize
the life of the battery pack.
— When the Handset is in the
Base and the red multipurpose
light is lit solid, charging time
will be longer.
* Standby time will be reduced by talking on the
Handset or Handset ringer activation from incom-
ing calls. Standby and Talk time will be shorter if
the Handset is used at long range from the Base
owing to the higher transmit power levels required.
