Unspool all the old tether.
3.
Locate the loose end of the spool of new Kevlar tether.
4.
Thread the loose end up through the bottom of the RDS1 and into the spool.
5.
Wedge the loose end in one of the spool slots.
6.
Press REEL UP.
7.
Maintain tension on the tether as it reels, so there is an even and packed wind
8.
Click STOP once the tether wind is flush with the base of the circular slots on the spool.
9.
Press REEL UP.
10.
Cut the tether from the new Kevlar spool.
6.6 Reinstalling Tap N Go Hook
1.
Thread the tether through the top and out the bottom end of the stalk.
2.
Thread the tether through the side hole of the stalk.
3.
Pull out at least 10cm of tether in preparation for the non slip loop knot.
4.
Install the included 5mm washer to the tether. Allow it to sit on the base against the side hole of the stalk.
5.
Tie the non slip loop knot. During step 2, loop around the stalk before entering the knot. The finished loop must
be between 80-84mm in length when flattened.
The hook is the RDS1’s payload release device and usually only needs to be replaced if the hook is lost,
or if the tether is replaced/re-tied. It is very important to tie a proper non-slip knot.
