12.1 Emission checking
In order to be able to check on the boiler’s emission during its years of operation, it is
recommended to measure the maximum air displacement of the boiler on commissioning.
This value may be different for each boiler type.
This measuring is only worthwhile if the value is known on commissioning.
The following tasks have to be carried out to enable measuring this value:
- Press the MODE-key for 5 seconds.
- The display will show COdE followed by an arbitrary number;
- Select by means of the + or the - key the code C123;
- Press the Store-key to confirm the code (code blinks 1 x);
- Press the MODE-key until SERV is shown;
- Press the STEP-key until 2 is shown;
alternately 2 and OFF will be shown.
- Undo the top test nipple on the gas valve (fig. 12.1.a);
- Connect the hose of the digital pressure gauge to the top test nipple of the gas valve
Measuring is only allowed using the upper measuring nipple (refer to arrow).
- Press the + key until the maximum value is achieved;
The fan will function to its maximum revolutions (burner stays off)
-
Measure the under pressure and write down this value.
At the next service visit this value may drop by 20% of its original value recorded on
commissioning. If this value has dropped by more than 20% the boiler requires full
maintanance.
- Press the - key until OFF is shown (keep key pressed)
With this the procedure is finished.
