A
Demilitarized
Zone
is
used
to
provide
Internet
services
without
sacrificing
unauthorized
access
to
its
local
private
network.
Typically,
the
DMZ
host
contains
devices
accessible
to
Internet
traffic,
such
as
Web
(HTTP
)
servers,
FTP
servers,
SMTP
(e

servers
and
DNS
servers.
DMZ
‐
In
computer
networks,
a
DMZ
(Demilitarized
Zone)
is
a
computer
host
or
small
network
inserted
as
a
"neutral
zone"
between
a
company's
private
network
and
the
outside
public
network.
It
prevents
outside
users
from
getting
direct
access
to
a
server
that
has
company

Think
of
DMZ
as

of
your
house.
It
belongs
to
you
and
you
may
put
some
things
there,
but
you
would
put
anything
valuable
inside
the
house
where
it
can
be
properly
secured.
Setting
up
a
DMZ
is
very
easy.
If
you
have
multiple
computer
s,
you
can
choose
to
simply
place
one
of
the
computers
between
the
Internet
connection
and
the
firewall.
If
you
have
a
computer
that
cannot
run
Internet
applications
properly
from
behind
the
device,
then
you
