3.2.1 Steering bar height adjustment
Preparation for operation
For mounting the locking finger for the steering bar height
adjustment, see Figures 5 to 7.
CAUTION!
Danger of injury and danger of property damage when raising the
steering bar.
When raising the steering bar there is a danger of being pinched
between the steering bar and the machine housing.
The Bowden cable can be pinched and damaged when raising the
steering bar.
Sheet metal parts could have burrs that can cause cuts.
Therefore:
Proceed with caution when raising the steering bar.
Watch out for the Bowden cables when raising the steering bar.
Wear work gloves.
On the bottom end of the steering bar there is a locking finger
on the right side that can lock into three holes of a leaf spring
underneath. For transport, the finger is mounted in a twisted
position to prevent it from poking through the box.
Put the locking finger into the correct position as shown in
Figure 5.
