Base Unit 2000 Details

Charger: The Base Unit 2000 acts as a charger for the 2 Piece (XT). It takes approximately 4 hours to fully charge
the 2 Piece (XT). The charge will last approximately a full day.

Back-up Battery: If the Base Unit 2000 loses power, it will utilize its back-up battery feature. With a full charge (24
hours), the back-up battery will last 48 hours.

Communication: If the offender has a phone line, it is recommended that an analog phone line be plugged into the
device. A digital phone line can be used, but the features must be removed. Every six hours, the Base Unit 2000 will
transmit the 2 Piece (XT) data to 3M Electronic Monitoring.

Note: When the 2 Piece (XT) is docked or undocked from the Base Unit 2000, the Base Unit 2000 will transmit the
most recent data to 3M Electronic Monitoring.

Caller ID Feature: The Base Unit 2000 notifies the assigned officer if an offender’s Base Unit 2000 makes a call from
a telephone number that differs from the offender’s home number.

Adjustable Range

The distance allowed between the bracelet (offender) and the Base Unit 2000 is adjustable. Low Range is
approximately 0-50 ft. Medium Range is approximately 51-100 ft. High range is approximately 101-150 feet. (This is
clear line of site and is also dependent on environmental conditions.) The default is set to High range. The range can
be adjusted on the Bracelet Gone rule of the EM Manager (Smart View) software.
