Software and Driver Installation

The 3M

TM

RTE6701-OEM Passport Reader Module is fully supported by the 3M

TM

RTE6700 Family Resource

Kit. This has all the manuals, drivers, test programs and sample code to enable you to integrate and support the
module.

3.1

Installing the 3M

TM

RTE6700 Family Resource Kit

The resource kit is available from our ftp site, contact your 3M sales representative or a support centre (details
in Section 1.9 above) for the details, latest version and passwords.

The resource kit is has an executable to install it, run setup.exe to start the process.

Note that you should install the drivers before plugging in the module for the first
time.

3.2

Checking the Version of the 3M
