6) To replace the L-114 Chin Strap
:
a. With the cam mechanism removed from the headgear, insert the
Chin Strap Attachment Plate into the pocket that contained the cam
clip.
7) To reassemble the L-146 Cam/Pivot
:
a. Verify that the L-146 Cam/Pivot Kit is being used. The L-146 must
be used with the welding shield.
b. Insert the pivot post all the way into the cam.
c. Insert the cam/pivot back into the headgear.
d. Hold the cam/pivot in position, and secure it by inserting the cam
clip. Press the clip all the way in.
8) The L-136 Cam Spring Kit
comes with two springs, one for the right
side and one for the left side. They are not interchangeable and will not
fit into the “wrong side”. To replace the cam spring clip:
a. Insert the hooked end of the spring clip into the opening at the
upper end of the frame assembly.
b. Insert the lower arm of the spring clip into the lower opening.
c. Snap the spring clip in place.
9) To reassemble the L-131 Wide-view Lens
:
a. Remove the protective film lens coverings from both sides of the
lens (if they are present).
b. Hold the faceshield assembly flat.
c. Flex the lens to the shape of the faceshield assembly, and slide it
over the lower post and onto the upper post.
d. Press the lens down so that it lies between the upper tabs and the
four latches.
e. Assure that the lens is seated tightly against the sides of the tabs
located to the left and right of the upper post.
