E-Switch Kit Overview
E-Switch Kit Overview
This document describes how to install and wire the new E-Switch PV8 anti-vandal push-
button switches on the front door of the Lane Pay Station as well as how to update the Lane
Pay Station labels.
Note:
Damage to equipment that occurs as a result of performing maintenance or repairs while
power is ON is not covered by the warranty.
Note:
Before performing any equipment maintenance or repair, refer to the equipment
operation and maintenance manuals.
Kit Contents
The Lane Pay Station E-Switch Kit includes:

(1) Switch, Push-button, Anti-Vandal, Red Ring, 24V (E-Switch PV8F2Y1SS-315)
■
(2) Switch, Push-button, Anti-Vandal, Green Ring, 24V (E-Switch PV8F2Y1SS-335)
■
(1) Cable, PIL, E-Switch Push-button Power
■
(1) Cable, PIL, E-Switch Push-button I/O
■
(3) Cable, PIL, E-Switch Push-button Jumper

You will need the following tools to complete this process:

Multi-diameter step drill bit with
largest diameter = 1.00"
. Suggested step drill bits to
use include McMaster-Carr P/N 8841A33 or Irwin P/N 10220.
Before performing any equipment maintenance or repair, set the equipment
power to OFF, set the main circuit breaker to OFF, and lockout and tag the
main circuit breaker; failure to follow this warning can result in injury or
death to personnel and damage to equipment.

It is important that the largest diameter of the step drill is 1.00" and that it
passes cleanly through the hole, leaving a squared-off hole (Figure 1.1).
