Caution:
Care should be taken when using the equipment at low temperatures
as excessive moisture may cause the valves to freeze.

Disinfect respirator by soaking in a solution of quaternary ammonia disinfectant
or sodium hypochlorite or other disinfectant.
Rinse in clean, warm water and air dry in a non-contaminated atmosphere.
Face piece components, especially the exhalation valve and seat, should be
inspected prior to each use.
MAINTENANCE
Only properly trained personnel must carry out maintenance, servicing and
repair.
Use of unapproved parts or unauthorized modification could result in danger to
life or health.
This face piece must be inspected before each use to ensure that it is in good
operating condition.
The face piece should be repaired or disposed of if damaged or defective parts
are observed. See Preparations for Use.
If disposal of parts is required this should be undertaken in accordance with
local health and safety and environmental regulations.
REPLACEMENT PARTS
3M™ Inhalation Port Gasket (6895) Replacement
The inhalation port gasket replacement is designed to seal the interface between
the bayonet attachment inhalation ports on the face piece and filters.
Remove gaskets from face piece inhalation port bayonet fittings.
Install new gaskets onto face piece inhalation port under all three bayonet lugs.
STORAGE AND TRANSPORTATION
The equipment should be stored in the packaging provided in dry, clean
conditions away from direct sunlight, sources of high
temperature, petrol and solvent vapours.
Do not store outside the temperature range -10°C to
+50°C or with humidity above 90%.
When stored as stated, the expected shelf life of the
facepiece is 5 years from the date of manufacture.
The date of manufacture can be established by
examining the date clock on the inside of the face piece
as shown.
The inner segment will display the year, and the arrow will
point to the month of manufacture in the outer segment.
The example shows 01/09/05 - 30/09/05.
The original packaging is suitable for transporting the product throughout the
European Economic Community.
