Turn off your computer and unplug it
from the electrical outlet.

2.

Unplug any peripheral devices (printer,
monitor, keyboard, mouse, etc.) from the
computer.

3.

Remove the cover of the computer.Refer
to your computer manufacturer’s
manual, if you need instructions.

4.

Your modem is designed as an ISA card
or a PCI card. Hold the modem so that
the gold connectors are pointing at the
floor and the speaker and other
components (speaker, processor, etc.)are
facing you.

•

If the silver bracket is on the right,
you have an ISA card.

      

•

If the silver bracket is on the left, you
have a PCI card.
