Build a PVC on the far-end PathBuilder S330/S310 switch, using the MCPU as side
A of the circuit. Set the following parameters on the Add Virtual Circuit screen:
■
Shaper Number
— Choose the number corresponding to the desired shaper
value. You assign the shaper number from the MCPU Shapers screen. See
“Configuring MCPU Shapers” in Chapter 4, for details.
■
IP Address
— You must use a the same subnet as the one you used for the
near-end PathBuilder S330/S310 switch.
■
Subnet Mask
— Specify a valid subnet mask for the IP address (for example,
255.255.255.0).
■
VPI/VCI
— You must use the same values as you did for the near-end
PathBuilder S330/S310 switch.
■
IP Encapsulation
— Specify the encapsulation type used for sending IP
packets over the ATM link. You must set the near and far ends to the same
IP
Encapsulation
type.

Open the Manage IP Network Configuration menu. (From the Configuration
Management menu, select
[6] Manage IP Network Configuration
).

On the Manage IP Network Configuration menu, select
[3] Default Gateway
Configuration
and set the following:
a
Set the default gateway on the far-end PathBuilder S330/S310 switch to the
PVC IP address you set for the near-end PathBuilder S330/S310 switch in step
1.
b
Set the default gateway on the management station to the local host IP
address of the near-end PathBuilder S330/S310 switch.
