Before removing a component, you need to remove the components
that depend on it, if any.
In the following two cases, the deployment information of a removed
component cannot be cleared automatically:
z
The component was removed from the slave servers by force,
which is an incorrect operation.
z
The slave server crashed when the component was being
removed from it.
To solve the problem, perform the following steps:
Step1 Select the component on the
Deploy
tab of the intelligent deployment
monitoring agent on the master server.
Step2 Right-click
Uninstall the Component
for the master server only.
Precautions
If the Network Traffic Analyzer (NTA) and User Behavior Auditor (UBA)
components are deployed on the same slave server, when removing
either of them, be sure to observe the following precautions to avoid
impacts on the other component:
z
Back up the iMC/server/conf/qvProcessManager.xml file in the
installation directory before the uninstallation and replace the
existing file with the backup file after the uninstallation.
z
Do not delete the database data used by the component.
After deploying either NTA or UBA, if you want to remove it, be sure to
delete the database used by it so that the other component can work
properly after deployment.
Removing all iMC Components at one Time
The following sections describe how to remove the iMC software
deployed in centralized and distributed modes respectively.
