TSS-2470 Time Delay
output of the Time Delay is contributing to a timed system such as a
video switcher.
There must be a valid Black/burst or Tri-level sync signal present on
the genlock input before the delay recording process will start. If
the signal is lost after that, the time delay will run from its
internal generator until the reference signal returns. The internal
sync generator is also referenced to the genlock and tries to maintain
its rate when it is lost, so there will be little disturbance of the
signal if the interruption is brief.
Assigning Names to the Server and Transport Channels
The server can be assigned a name that will be displayed along the top
of the Main GUI Window. Each individual server channel can also be given
a name.
To assign a name to the server or transport channels, click
EDIT>CONFIGURE>NAMES
from the main menu pulldown. Use the keyboard to
type in a name for any of the selections. Names can be up to 31
characters in length. Spaces, digits and other non-alphanumeric
characters may be used. Click
APPLY
to accept the name. The names will
appear in their appropriate windows immediately.

Configure Network
Network parameters are set in the Configure Network dialog. Network
communication for the TSS-2470 Time Delay is designed primarily to
support access to error logs and factory diagnostics. It can also
support automatic time updates using the NTP protocol.
The system
time is used only in the diagnostic system message logs; it does not
affect the operation of the TSS-2470 Time Delay in any way.
Therefore, it is not mandatory to connect the system to a network if
you are not taking advantage of these features.
