• Do not use if you have wet hands.

• Before using the appliance for the 1st time, clean the grill plate and the raclette
pans with a wet cloth. When it is first switched on, the raclette-grill may smell and
emit some smoke. This is normal; the grease that may have adhered to the element
during manufacturing is burning off. We therefore recommend that you heat up the
appliance for about 10 minutes without any food (ventilate the room during this
period). Always pre-heat your appliance for more or less 10 minutes before using
it. In order to prevent stains on your tablecloth, don’t forget to put another easy-
washing cloth under your appliance.

• Put the raclette-grill in the middle of the table. Cut the meat into small pieces You
thus reduce the cooking time. You may serve the grilled meat with different sauces
or salad. You can grill toasts in the raclette pans, cook fruits through or over, fry
eggs or potatoes…

• You can obtain a good raclette by using raclette cheese. Take about 150-250
grams for each person. Cut the cheese into slices (more or less 2 mm thick).
Prepare potatoes with their skin, which you will put into a covered bowl or on the
grill in order to keep them warm.
• Put the raclette grill in the middle of the table. Put the cheese into the raclette
pans and place them under the heating tube. the cheese will melt after 3 or 4 min-
utes. You can serve it as it is on the plates or apread it out on the potatoes in their
skin. Ass some fresh ground black pepper.

• Before cleaning, unplug and wait for the appliance cool down completely. Wipe
the inside and the edges of the appliance with a paper towel or a soft cloth. Wipe
the outside with only a slightly moistened cloth ensuring that there is no more
grease left. Do not clean the inside or outside with any abrasive products as this
will damage the finish.
