STORING THE GENERATOR
•
Important:
Run the generator once a month for 15 minutes. Plug in
electrical devices and run for 10 minutes. Shut off and drain the carburetor.
• Drain the fuel tank (see “Draining the Fuel Tank” on Manual page 20).
• Change oil (see “Changing/Adding Oil” on Manual page 17).
• Keep the generator in a cool dry area.
• Do not obstruct any ventilation openings.
CAUTION:
Do not store fuel for more than 3 months
.
• Drain the carburetor after each use.
• Add fuel stabilizer to the fuel tank half-way. Run the engine for 5-10
minutes then top off with fuel.

STOPPING THE GENERATOR
WARNING:
Allow the generator to cool for several minutes before
touching HOT areas.

2. Drain Carburetor
• Turn off all electrical devices before unplugging them from the generator.
• Turn the “ON/OFF” switch to the “OFF” position.
• Turn the Fuel Valve to the “OFF” (horizontal) position.
Unscrew and drain the carburetor after each use.
Store with a dry carburetor to make sure the generator
can properly function next time.

USING THE GENERATOR
If the generator is overloaded, disconnect the entire load immediately.
Press the power reset button and adjust the load before plugging in.

• Generator is properly grounded.
• Oil and fuel levels are sufficient.
• No electrical device is plugged in.
• Turn the Fuel Valve to the “ON” position.
• Move the Choke Lever to “CLOSE/START” position.
• Set the ON/OFF Switch to the “ON” position.

1. Plug In
• Once the engine has started, slowly move the Choke Lever to
“OPEN/RUN” position.
• Allow the engine to run for several minutes to stabilize before attempting
to connect any electrical devices.
Plug in each electrical device, making sure that the device is turned off.
2. Check
NOTE:
The total running wattage of the generator’s load should never
exceed 1800W. An easy way to approximate your draw is that 1 amp equals
roughly 120 watts. Check the wattage listed on each electrical device.
CAUTION:
Do not connect 50Hz loads to the generator.
• Pull on the recoil starter handle slowly until a slight resistance is felt
then pull quickly to start the engine.
• Return cord gently, never allowing the cord to snap back.
Do not pull the cord from underneath the panel. Consult the trouble
shooting guide if the engine fails to start after repeated attempts.
STARTING THE GENERATOR
PREPARING THE GENERATOR
Place the generator on a firm, level surface before proceeding.
• Remove the dipstick.
• Using a funnel is recommended. Add oil slowly to
fill crank case to the bottom thread of the fill hole.
Do not overfill. Never tilt the generator to fill.
NOTE: The generator requires AT LEAST 12 fl. oz. of
oil to prevent the generator’s low oil sensor to trigger.
• Check for oil leaks and firmly tighten the dipstick.
2. Add Gasoline
• Unscrew fuel cap.
• Slowly add unleaded gasoline. Do not fill to the
very top of the tank to allow for expansion.
• Reinstall fuel cap and wipe clean any spilled
gasoline with a dry cloth.
WARNING:
Always turn off generator and allow it to cool before
refueling. Avoid getting dirt or water into the fuel tank.
Fuel tank capacity: 1.1 Gallons
Use fresh (within 30 days from purchase), lead-free gasoline with
a minimum of 87 octane rating. Never use an oil/gasoline mixture.

Engine crankcase oil capacity: 13.5 fl. oz.
10W-30 synthetic oil is recommended for general use above 40° F

• Take out all accessories packaged underneath the generator.
• Before operating this generator, read and observe all warnings,
cautions, and instructions on the generator and in the Owner’s Manual.
• Always operate on a firm, level surface. Never tilt the generator.

panel against a grounding wire.

copper, brass, or steel-grounding rod that is
driven into the earth.
