Note:  When  shipped  with  the  tractor,  the  hitch

assembly is factory mounted in position.  Remove the wire
holding  the  pulley  arms  (items  4  and  5)  up  for  shipping.
Also, remove the drag link Weldment  assembly (items 26,

27,  and  28)  loosely  packed  on  top  of  the  hitch  and  follow
instructions in the mower owner’s manual for mounting on
the deck.

INSTALLATION ON TRACTOR

Step 1.

With bumper facing forward and bars on hitch

outside of hitch blocks on tractor, slide hitch assembly onto
tractor so that studs on onside of hitch bars fit into slots on
hitch blocks.  At the same time, studs on the outside of the
hitch blocks will fit into slots on ends of hitch bars.

Step 2.

Insert  small  blank  bolt  (item  9)  from  the

outside through the holes just behind hitch studs in upper
part  of  hitch  bars  and  holes  in  hitch  blocks.    Secure  with

quick change key (item 10).

Step 3.

Follow  installation  instruction  in  owner’s

manual for attaching deck to hitch and tractor.

MOWER ADJUSTMENT INFORMATION

For  initial  installation  of  mower  deck  be  sure  deck  is

level  at  the  blade  tips.    If  deck  is  nose  high,  the  highest
cutting  height  cannot  be  reached.    Using  the  big  black

knob, adjust the belt alignment idler pulley to just clear the
engine plate.  As the drive belt stretches, and sheaves and
pulley wear in, belt alignment will improve.

Notice:  Sway chains are not required with revised hitch

model 60‐013.
