2d. Carregue no botão de saída do vapor ( 3 ) no ferro de

Ao encher o reservatório já quente, recomendamos
que efectue o enchimento com pequenas doses de
água de cada vez, para se evitar a evaporação
instantânea da água.

• Nunca deixe o ferro de engomar sem vigilância
enquanto a ficha estiver ligada à tomada de
corrente.
• Engome somente sobre superfícies resistentes ao
calor e permeáveis ao vapor.
• Certifique-se de que a tampa de segurança ( 5 )
esteja correctamente enroscada; caso contrário
podem verificar-se fugas de vapor.
• Botão para saída do vapor ( 3 ) acende-se e apaga-se
durante a utilização. Isto indica que a resistência
eléctrica entrou em função para manter constante a
pressão da caldeira. Portanto é possível continuar a
engomar regularmente pois isso corresponde ao
normal funcionamento do aparelho.
• Se não sair vapor do ferro, verifique se o botão de
saída do vapor (
3 ) está apagado, se há água na
caldeira.
• No caso de reparação ou substituição de
componentes e nomeadamente da tampa de
segurança, utilize exclusivamente peças originais
Polti.
• O aparelho está dotado com um limitador térmico
de segurança cuja substituição requer a intervenção
de um técnico autorizado.
• No caso de se tornar necessária a substituição do
cabo de alimentação, recomendamos que contacte
um Centro de Assistência autorizado, pois é
necessário um instrumento especial.
• No caso de avaria ou mau funcionamento,
nunca tente desmontar o aparelho mas
contacte o Centro de Assistência autorizado
mais próximo.

• Antes de efectuar qualquer operação de
manutenção, desligue sempre a ficha da
tomada de corrente eléctrica.
• Para manter o aparelho com um rendimento
excelente ao longo do tempo, aconselhamos que
despeje e enxagúe a caldeira com água da torneira,
pelo menos, uma vez de 2 em 2 meses ou de 3 em
3 meses; esta operação permite retirar os resíduos
de calcário que se depositam no fundo da caldeira.
Se a água da torneira for muito calcária, efectue
esta operação com mais frequência. Neste caso
aconselha-se o uso de um descalcificante especial
de base natural
KALSTOP TP 2000 , à venda nas
lojas de electrodomésticos.
Nunca despeje o VAPORELLA quando a água
na caldeira ainda estiver quente.
• Para a limpeza externa do aparelho utilize
simplesmente um pano húmido. Evite o uso de
solventes ou de detergentes os quais podem
danificar a superfície de plástico.

O VAPORELLA é garantido por um ano a partir da data
de aquisição, contra defeitos de fabrico e materiais
defeituosos. A garantia não é válida se a avaria tiver
sido causada por um uso impróprio. No caso de avaria
ou de mau funcionamento, contacte imediatamente o
Centro de Assistência autorizado mais próximo.
Eventuais alterações do aparelho por parte de pessoal
não autorizado invalidarão automaticamente a garantia.
• A Polti S.p.A. declina toda e qualquer responsabi-
lidade no caso de acidentes derivantes de uma
utilização do VAPORELLA que não respeite as

• Antes de ligar o VAPORELLA, certifique-se de que a
tensão da rede corresponda à indicada nos dados
da placa do aparelho e que a tomada esteja dotada
de fio de terra.
• Nunca utilize detergentes ou substâncias químicas
na caldeira. No caso da água da torneira ser muito
calcária, aconselha-se o uso de um descalcificante
especial de base natural

Não use, em nenhum caso, água destilada.
• Antes de proceder ao enchimento do aparelho
quando já estiver quente, espere alguns minutos
para deixar arrefecer a caldeira.
• Durante o enchimento recomendamos que desligue
a ficha da tomada de corrente.
• Nunca despeje o VAPORELLA enquanto a água no
interior da caldeira ainda estiver quente.
• Não mergulhe o aparelho em água nem em qualquer
outro líquido.
• Não toque no aparelho com as mãos ou os pés
molhados enquanto a ficha estiver ligada.
• Nunca deixe o aparelho sem vigilância quando
estiver ligado à tomada de corrente.
• Não permita que o VAPORELLA seja usado por
crianças ou por pessoas que não tenham
conhecimento de como funciona.
• Se o VAPORELLA permanecer sem ser usado,
recomendamos que desligue a ficha da tomada de
corrente.

Antes de deixarem a fábrica todos os nossos
produtos são submetidos a testes rigorosos.
Portanto o seu VAPORELLA contém já água
residual na caldeira.

1a. Desenrosque a tampão de segurança ( 5 ) e encha a
caldeira, com o funil apropriado ( 9 ), com 0,9 litros
de água da torneira normal, tomando cuidado para
que não vá por fora (Fig. 1).
2a. Enrosque o tampão com atenção.
3a. Ligue a ficha do cabo de alimentação numa tomada
idónea dotada de fio de terra.
4a. Carregue no interruptor luminoso da caldeira ( 2 ) e
no interruptor luminoso do ferro ( 4 ) (Fig. 2).

ENGOMAR A VAPOR
1b. Regule a temperatura do ferro de engomar na
posição “ALGODÃO - LINHO” girando o botão ( 1 ).
Com esta temperatura é possível engomar a vapor
todos os tipos de tecido (fig. 3).
2b. Espere até que interruptor luminoso da caldeira ( 2 )
e o botão da saída do vapor ( 3 ) se apaguem.
Carregue no botão ( 3 ) do ferro de engomar
comandando a saída do vapor pela base do ferro.
Soltando o botão, o fluxo interrompe-se (fig. 4).
Se durante o uso o botão para saída do vapor (
3 ) se
acender, continue a engomar normalmente porque
isso corresponde ao normal funcionamento do
aparelho.
NOTA: Durante a primeira utilização do ferro, pode
verificar-se a saída, pela base do aparelho, de gotas
de água misturadas com o vapor, devido à
imperfeita estabilização térmica.
Aconselhamos portanto que não oriente o primeiro
jacto de vapor para o tecido que pretende engomar.
ENGOMAR A SECO
1c. Para engomar a seco: ligue a ficha do cabo de
alimentação, carregue no interruptor do ferro ( 4 ),
regule a temperatura do ferro girando o botão ( 1 ),
seleccionando a temperatura mais indicada para o
tecido e evidenciada no próprio botão.

Este aparelho está dotado com um tampão de
segurança com patente Polti, que impede a abertura,
mesmo acidental, da caldeira até se verificar uma
pressão mesmo mínima, no interior da caldeira.
Portanto para se poder desenroscar é necessário
efectuar determinadas operações, que em seguida
descrevemos.
Quando deixar de sair vapor do ferro, proceda do
seguinte modo:
1d. Desligue o aparelho com o interruptor da caldeira
( 2 ).

Dit apparaat is voorzien van een gepatenteerde
veiligheidsdop die ervoor zorgt dat de ketel niet, zelfs
niet per ongeluk, kan worden geopend zolang er ook
maar een minimale druk op de ketel staat. Om de dop te
openen moeten er een paar handelingen worden verricht
waardoor de VAPORELLA in een voor de gebruiker
absoluut veilige toestand komt.
Steeds wanneer het water op is, moet u als volgt te
werk gaan:
1d. Zet de ketelschakelaar (
2 ) uit.
2d. Druk net zolang op de stoomknop op het strijkijzer
( 3 ) totdat er geen stoom meer komt.
3d. Haal de stekker uit het stopcontact.
4d. Maak de veiligheidsdop (
5 ) los door deze tegen de
wijzers van de klok in te draaien.
5d. Wacht 3 tot 4 minuten totdat de ketel is afgekoeld.
6d. Vul de ketel zoals aangegeven in punt 1a van de
paragraaf VOORBEREIDING.
Wanneer het reservoir nog warm is, adviseren we
met kleine hoeveelheden water te werken om te
voorkomen dat het water meteen verdampt.

• Laat het strijkijzer niet onbewaakt achter wanneer
het aan staat.
• Gebruik alleen strijkplanken die bestand zijn tegen
hitte en die stoom doorlaten.
• Verzeker U ervan dat de veiligheidsschroefdop ( 5 )
stevig gesloten is tijdens het gebruik, zoniet zou er
tijdens het functioneren stoom kunnen ontsnappen
langs de dop.
• Controlelampje stoomdruk ( 3 ) gaat af en toe aan en
uit wanneer u met de VAPORELLA werkt. Dit
betekent dat de elektrische weerstand weer gaat
werken om de druk constant te houden. Dit
verschijnsel is dus normaal.
• Als er geen stoom uitkomt, kontroleren dat de
Controlelampje stoomdruk (
3 ) uitgaat, dat er water
in de kuip is.
• In geval van herstelling of vervanging van onderdelen
en in het bijzonder de veiligheidsschroefdop, vraag
enkel onderdelen van POLTI oorsprong.
• Het toestel is voorzien van een thermische
beveiliging. Wanneer deze laatste gesprongen is
dient U zich uitsluitend te richten tot een officiële
naverkoops-dienst-centrum.
• Als de voedingskabel moet worden vervangen, kunt
u het beste naar een officieel technisch centrum
gaan, omdat u speciaal gereedschap nodig heeft.
• Wanneer het apparaat stuk is of slecht werkt,
probeer het dan niet te demonteren, maar ga
naar de dischtstbijzijnde officiële technische
centrum.

• Alvorens onderhoud te plegen haalt u de
stekker uit het stopcontact.
• Om in de loop der tijd het rendement optimaal te
houden, raden wij u aan om minstens om de twee
tot drie maanden de ketel leeg te maken en om te
spoelen met leidingwater. Op deze manier haalt u
kalkresten weg die zich op de bodem afzetten. Bij
hard leidingwater moet u gebruik maken van de
ontkalker
KALSTOP TP2000, te kopen bij de Polti
verdeler.
Nooit de VAPORELLA leeg maken wanner het
water in de ketel nog warm is.
• Gebruik voor het reinigen van de buitenkant van het
apparaat alleen een vochtige doek. Vermijd
oplosmiddelen of reinigingsmiddelen die het plastic
oppervlak kunnen beschadigen.

De VAPORELLA heeft een garantie van 1 jaar tegen
fabricage- en materiaalfouten, ingaande op de datum
van aankoop. De garantie geldt niet wanneer de schade
is veroorzaakt door oneigenlijk gebruik.
Wanneer het apparaat stuk is of slecht werkt, neem dan
onmiddelijk contact op met het dichtstbijzijnde officiële
technisch centrum.
Wanneer het apparaat eventueel wordt beschadigd door
onbevoegd personeel, vervalt de garantie onmiddelijk.
• De firma POLTI S.p.A. wijst iedere
aansprakelijkheid van de hand voor incidenten
die zijn ontstaan doordat de VAPORELLA niet
conform de gebruiksaanwijzing is gebruikt.

recyclingnormen.
We raden u aan het verpakkingsmateriaal voor
bescherming tijdens het transport, niet bij het huisvuil te
zetten, maar het bij het desbetreffende inzamelpunt af te
geven.

El juicio sobre la reparación a efectuar es exclusivo de los Servicios
Oficiales autorizados por POLTI. Una parte de la tarjeta de garantía, la
marcada con “ENVIAR”, deberá remitirse a POLTI, debidamente
cumplimentada y timbrada por el vendedor, dentro de los primeros 10 días
de la adquisición de la máquina. (Solicite que le cumplimenten la garantia al
realizar la compra).
En caso de reparación el aparato debe entregarse al Servicio Oficial más
próximo acompañado del certificado de garantía, correspondiente a la
máquina, debidamente cumplimentado para tener validez. En los
supuestos en que la reparación efectuada durante la garantía, no fuera
satisfactoria y el aparato por defecto proprio, no revistiese las condiciones
óptimas al uso a que estuviese destinado, el titular de la garantía tendrá
derecho a la sustitución del objeto edquirido por otro de idénticas
características o a la devolución del precio pagado. La compañía POLTI
declina cualquier responsabilidad si en las reparaciones no se utilizan
recambios originales POLTI.
Les produits POLTI bénéficient d’une garantie totale pièces et
main-d’œuvre d’une durée de 1 an. La garantie légale couvrant les
défauts ou vices cachés (article 1641 et suivants du Code civil) est
applicable en tout état de cause.
La garantie est effective dans la mesure où ce produit est retourné franco,
non démonté dans un de nos Centres Agrées POLTI FRANCE.
L’envoi doit être accompagné d’un avis d’expédition indiquant les anomalies
constatées ainsi que du présent certificat. Sont exclus de la garantie: 1) Les
produits réparés par des tiers; 2) Les pannes dues à une mauvaise
utilisation, à un entretien défectueux et à un entartrage.

Em caso de reparação o aparelho deve ser enviado ao Serviço Técnico
mais próximo acompanhado por este certificado de garantia, que deverá
ser carimbado pelo revendedor e preenchido totalmente para ter validade.
A compánhia POLTI declina qualquer responsabilidade se nas reparações
não se utilizarem acessórios e peças originais POLTI.

markings identifying the terminals in your plug, proceed
as follows:
The wire which is coloured green-and-yellow must be
connected to the terminal in the plug which is marked

• Lees voordat u de Vaporella gebruikt, deze

• Controleer voordat u de VAPORELLA aansluit, of de
netspanning overeenkomt met de gegevens op het

• Nooit reinigingsmiddelen of chemicaliën in de ketel
doen. Bij hard leidingwater, moet u gebruik maken
van de ontkalker

• Laat de ketel, als deze nog warm is, enkele minuten
afkoelen alvorens hem te vullen.

• De Vaporella nooit leegmaken wanneer er nog warm
water in zit.
• Het apparaat nooit onderdompelen in water of in
andere vloeistoffen.
• Het apparaat nooit aanraken wanneer de stekker in
het stopcontact zit en uw handen of voeten zich in
water bevinden.
• Het apparaat nooit onbewaakt achterlaten wanneer
de stekker in het stopcontact zit.

1a. Draai de veiligheidsschroefdop los ( 5 ) en vul de ketel
met leidingwater met behulp van de techter ( 9 ).
Vermijd dat het water overloopt (fig. 1).
2a. Draai de veiligheidsdop stevig en met aandacht
dicht.
3a. Stop de stekker van de voedingskabel in een geaard
stopcontact waar een spanning van op staat.
4a. Druk op de schakelaars van de verhittingsketel ( 2 )
en het strijkijzer ( 4 ). De verklikkerlampjes gaan aan.

STOOMSTRIJKEN
1b. Regel de temperatuur van het strijkijzer door knop
( 1 ) te draaien en kies stand " COTONE - LINO ". Op
deze temperatuur is het mogelijk alle soorten van
textiel met stoom te strijken.
2b. Wacht tot de schakelaar van de verwarmingsketel
( 2 ) en de controlelampje van de stoomdruk ( 3 )
uitgaan.
Door het duwen op (
3 ) krijgt u een stoom straal uit
alle gaten van de zool. Door het vrijlaten stopt u de
stoomdebiet (fig. 4).
Ga door met strijken wanneer het verklikkerlampje
(
3 ) weer aan en uit gaat. Dit is normaal voor de
werking van het toestel.
AANDACHT: bij het eerste gebruik is het mogelijk
dat er enkele druppeltjes uit de openingen van de
zool komen. Dit wordt veroorzaakt door tijdelijke
thermische onstabiliteit. Daarom raden we aan de
eerste stoomstraal te richten op een lap.
6a. When cool proceed to carefully refill the tank as
described in paragraph 1a of the section
“PREPARATION FOR USE” in the instructions. If
refilling the generator when not completely cooled,
we recommend that you carefully pour only very
small quantities of water at each pouring into the
tank, so as to avoid spitting from the tank.

• Do not leave the iron unattended whilst connected to
the mains.
• Iron only on heat resistant surfaces and on surfaces
that allow the steam to escape e. g. mesh ironing
boards.
• Ensure the patented safety cap is fully and correctly
screwed on, otherwise you may experience steam
escaping from around the cap.
• The steam botton ( 3 ) may go on and off from time to
time during use of Vaporella. This indicates the
machine maintaining the correct and constant
pressure and is quite normal.
• If no steam is released from the iron, check the
following: the steam botton (
3 ) is lit up; there is
water in the boiler.
• If repairs or replacement parts are required, and in
particular the special safety cap, use only original
Polti replacement parts.
• The appliance is fitted with a safety thermostat,
which should only be replaced by an authorised
technician.
• If it is necessary to replace the power supply cable,
please refer to the nearest Polti authorised service
centre, since the use of a special tool is necessary.
• In the case of breakdown or malfunction do not
attempt to repair the appliance yourself but
refer to your nearest authorised service
centre.

• Before attempting any maintenance operation,
be sure to always disconnect the appliance
from the mains.
• To maintain efficient performance, we recommend
emptying and flushing out the generator with tap
water at least once a month; this operation flushes
away the scale deposits inside the generator.
Never
empty the Vaporella when the water in the
generator is still hot.
• To clean the body of the appliance, simply use a
moist cloth. Do not use solvents or detergents which
may harm the body material.

The Vaporella is guaranteed to the original purchaser for
one year from purchase date against manufacturing or
raw material defects.
The guarantee is not valid if the appliance has been
misused in any way. Unauthorised alterations or repairs
to the machine will automatically invalidate this
guarantee.
• Polti declines liability for any damage or
accident derived from any use of Vaporella
which is not in conformity with the instructions
contained in this booklet.

This unit is designed to operate on 240V, 50 Hz current
only. Connecting it to other power sources may damage
the unit.
WARNING - This appliance must be earthed.
This appliance may be fitted with a non rewirable plug, if
it is necessary to change the fuse in a non rewirable plug
the fuse cover must be refitted. If the fuse cover is lost
or damaged, the plug must not be used until a
replacement, available from the appliance manufacturer,
is obtained. It is important that the colour of the
replacement fuse cover corresponds with the colour
marking on the base of the plug.
If the plug requires to be changed because it is not
suitable for your socket, or becomes damaged, it should
be cut off and an appropriate plug fitted following the
wiring instruction (below). The plug removed must be
disposed of safely as insertion into a 13A socket is likely
to cause an electrical hazard.

• Before using your Vaporella carefully read these
usage instructions.
• Before connecting Vaporella to the mains make sure
that the current is the same as indicated for the
machine and that the plug is an earthed plug.
• Do not introduce any detergent or chemical
substance into the generator tank.
If your tap water is very hard, please use our special
decalcifier
KALSTOP TP 2000 with a natural basis,
which is sold in all Polti Service Centres.
Never use distilled water.
• Do not refill the tank while it is still hot, allow it to
cool down for a few minutes before refilling.
• During filling and refilling we recommend you to
disconnect the appliance from the mains supply.
• Never empty Vaporella when the water inside the
generator tank is still hot.
• Do not place the appliance in water or in any other
liquids.
• Do not touch the appliance with wet hands or feet
whilst the appliance is connected to the mains.
• Never leave the appliance unattended whilst it is
connected to the mains.
• Do not allow Vaporella to be used by children or by
people who are not familiar with the usage
instructions.
• We recommend that the appliance is disconnected
from the mains whenever it is not in use.

1a. Unscrew the patented safety cap ( 5 ) and fill the boiler
with about 0.8 litres of ordinary tap water using the
special funnel (
9 ) making sure that it does not
overflow (fig. 1).
2a. Retighten the cap fully and carefully.
3a. Connect the power supply cable into an earthed
power supply of the correct voltage.
4a. Switch on the boiler and iron by pressing the
switches ( 2 ) and ( 4 ) (fig. 2).

STEAM IRONING
1b. Set the iron temperature to the “COTTON - LINEN”
steam position (fig. 3), by turning the knob ( 1 ). All
types of fabric can be ironed at this temperature.
2b. Wait for the heater illuminated a switch ( 2 ) and the
steam button ( 3 ) to go out. Push button ( 3 ) on the
iron to release bursts of steam from the holes on the
soleplate. Release the button and the steam will
stop (fig. 4).
If the heater illuminated switch (
3 ) comes on during
use, continue ironing as it is quite normal.
NOTE: during initial operation of the iron, a few
drops of water mixed with steam may come out of
the soleplate until the temperature stabilises. It is
advisable to direct the first jets of steam onto an old
cloth until a uniform stable jet of steam is obtained.
DRY IRONING
1c. For dry ironing, connect the supply cable to the
mains, push the iron on/off switch ( 4 ), regulate the
temperature of the iron by turning the knob ( 1 ) to the
required temperature for the fabric shown on the
knob itself.

All Polti machines are equipped with the unique Polti
patented safety cap, which prevents opening of the
generator tank as long as there is any pressure
remaining inside the tank. This is an important and
indispensable safety device, and it is necessary to follow
certain procedures when re-filling the tank.
When you have used up all the water in the tank, do as
follows:
1a. Switch off the heater on/off switch (
2 ).
2a. Press the steam request button on the iron ( 3 ) so as
to fully exhaust the steam supply from the tank.
3a. Disconnect the power supply cable from the mains.
4a. Unscrew anti-clockwise the patented safety cap (
5 ).
5a. Wait 3 or 4 minutes to allow the generator tank to
cool down.

Il certificato di garanzia, timbrato e compilato in ogni sua parte, va
consegnato, in caso di riparazione dell’apparecchio, al Centro Assistenza.
La garanzia è valida se corredata dallo scontrino fiscale oppure dal timbro
del rivenditore con la data di acquisto. L’elenco ufficiale dei Centri
Assistenza è riportato nel presente manuale istruzioni.
La POLTI declina ogni responsabilità se nella riparazione non vengono
utilizzati ricambi originali POLTI. Per ogni controversia è competente il Foro
di Como.
POLTI garantiza al titular de la garantía, durante el plazo de un
año, a contar desde la fecha de compra, la reparación totalmente
gratuita de las posibles anomalías de los componentes de la máquina,
incluyendo la sustitución del componente defectuoso y la mano de obra
necesaria. Las reparaciones se realizan, en todos los casos, en los talleres
de los Servicios Oficiales. Quedan excluidas las partes sujetas a desgaste
