swallow small parts, packaging and protec-
tive foils. Keep the device and packaging out
of reach of children.
Attention
! Risk of property damage through
the use of inappropriate batteries! The use
of inappropriate batteries can cause a loss of
function of the device. Only use batteries of
the type described in Section Technical Data.
Attention
! Risk of property damage through
environmental influences! Prevent environ
-
mental influences such as exposure to
smoke, dust, vibration, chemicals, moisture,
heat and direct sunlight.
Important
! Before starting to position the sen-
sors, take into account that walls, ceilings and
sources of electrical disturbance can impair wire-
less communication.
Intended Use
The motion detector reacts to movements within the detection
range of the sensor.
A condition for complying with the intended use is that the equip-
ment is installed correctly and the information in the manual is
observed and maintained. Any other use is considered unintend-
ed use.
Scope of Delivery
Please check the contents of the package carefully. If anything is

Inserting the Batteries
1
Open the battery compartment by pressing the locking latch
on the top of the motion detector down using an appropri-
ate, pointed object.
2
Connect the 9 Volt battery to the battery clip, which is pro-
tected against reverse poling, and place the 9 Volt battery in
the battery compartment.
3
Close the battery compartment. The lock engages audibly.
Registering a Sensor
You must register the motion detector on the base unit. When
the motion detector detects a movement and triggers, it sends a
signal to the base unit and the base unit alarm sounds.
1
Press and hold the corresponding button on the base unit to
register sensors.
2
If necessary, disconnect the 9 V battery from the reverse
poling protected battery clip.
3
Connect the 9 Volt battery to the battery clip, which is pro-
tected against reverse poling, and place the 9 Volt battery in
the battery compartment.
4
Trigger the motion detector.
Installation
Positioning
Stand or hang the motion detector in a suitable position to moni-
tor the required area.
The motion detector detects movements within the scanning
area of up to 12 m with an angle of vision of 110°. The optimum
installation height is about 2 - 3 m above the ground.
Hanging on a Wall
You can also hang the motion detector on a wall. Use the assem-
bly material supplied to do this.
1
Use the holes in the mounting bracket as a drilling template
and drill two sufficiently large holes in the wall.
2
Assemble the mounting bracket using the dowels and screws
supplied.
3
Install the ball joint in the mounting bracket. The ball joint
snaps audibly into place.
4
Assemble the motion detector on the bracket for the ball
joint with the aid of the recess on the rear of the bracket .
5
Align the motion detector as necessary using the ball joint.
Setting Up the Motion Detector
Various settings can be defined using the jumpers on the PCB of
the motion detector.
It is preferable to define any settings before assembling the mo
-
tion detector at the installation location.
