1 AND 2 GANG WALL TRANSMITTERS

Installation & Operating Instructions

The wall transmitters are part of the Echo radio system.  The radio
transmission takes place at the European harmonised frequency of
868.3MHz.  It is particularly suitable for areas where no repairs are
required, such as renovations, retrofitting of electrical systems or offices
with mobile walls.  By pressing a button, consumers can be switched
wirelessly through receivers.
The transmitters must be assigned to the receivers.  Therefore, refer to
the receivers operating instructions.  Every wall transmitter can control
an indefinite number of receivers.

SAFETY:

The device should be installed by a competent person or a
qualified electrician in accordance with these instructions and
the appropriate current national wiring regulations.

RF RANGE:

The strength of the radio signal between the transmitter and switching
receiver weakens as distance increases.  The range can be further
reduced by different materials or interference sources in the propagation
direction of the radio waves.  The range can be increased by the use of
Echo Repeaters (radio amplifiers).

STRUCTURE AND DESCRIPTION

The transmitters are available in 1 and 2 channel versions and are used
in conjunction with the K5776 and K5779 mounting frames which are
available separately.

Installation of Glass Frames:

-  The installation surface must be level.
-  If necessary, level off the surface under each individual base element.
-  Ensure that the base elements are exactly aligned.
-  Tighten the screws on the coverings with the utmost care.  There

should not be any distortion on the frame, as this can lead to the glass
cracking or shattering.

-  When removing rocker switches, they should be lifted off carefully.  Do

not use the screwdriver to create a lever effect on the glass frame.

MOUNTING AND COMMISSIONING:

•  Do not use in the open (only within closed rooms).
•  Before the installation on rough surfaces, a smooth surface has to be

created.  Unevenness may lead to transmitter’s malfunctions.

•  When installing, mind the required position of installation shown on

the back of the transmitter (O = top, I = bottom)

(1)

•

Do NEVER install the transmitter within a metal body or in the
immediate vicinity of big metal objects.  An installation near or on the
ground is not recommendable.

Mounting - Screw fixing:

• Retaining plates

(4)

shall be used as a template to mark the drill

holes.

•  Drill dowel holes of 5 mm.
•  Fix the retaining plate with included screws.  The latches of the

retaining plate have to be positioned for their installation as shown
under

point 4

•

Engage wall transmitter

(2)

and frame

(3)

on the retaining plate.

Mounting - Adhesive Pad:

• Engage wall transmitter

(2)

and frame

(3)

on the retaining plate

(4)

• Use

adhesive strips

for the installation on flat, smooth surfaces (such

as painted walls, tiles, furniture, wood, etc.).  Glue the adhesive strip
to both the upper and lower recess on the indentation of the retaining
plate.

• Use

adhesive film

for the installation on glass.  Glue the adhesive

film to the inverse side of the retaining plate.

•

Glue the assembled wall transmitter to the desired place.

Commissioning:

•  Installation of the receiver.

•

Assign wall transmitter to receiver.
