Before you begin, place the bike on a hard level surface where you have room to
work. Lay out the parts included in this kit and compare to the parts list on these
instructions. If any parts or hardware are missing, contact us immediately at the
number or email listed above.

2019+ KTM 790 TAIL PLATE
Step 1
First, remove the OEM tail rack and grab handles
using a 45 torx wrench to remove the bolts. These
bolts will not be reused.
Step 2
Next, install the mounting brackets onto the rear frame of the
bike. If you are reinstalling the grab handles, place them on the
frame first followed by the brackets. Then run the 8x65mm SH
bolts with four 8mm flat washers through the cylinders indicated
in Fig 1 and thread them into the frame.
If you are not reinstalling the grab handles, use the 8x40mm SH
bolts instead.
Leave these bolts loose to allow for adjustment. Make sure that
the two slotted ends of the brackets are pointing towards the seat
of the bike and the 90° angle of the bracket sits above the frame.
See Fig 1 and 2.
Step 3
Now place the tail plate onto the brackets and
bolt it down through the countersunk holes
indicated in Fig 3 using the 8x20mm FH bolts,
four 8mm flat washers, and four 8mm nylock
nuts.
