Use for intended purpose
According to regulation, the hydraulic manual override is used for the manual
emergency control of the quarter turn actuator DFPD-HD-...-HW in case of a failure
of the compressed air supply.
The product may only be used in its original status without unauthorized
modifications.
Only use the product if it is in perfect technical condition.
Mount the quarter turn actuator with the hydraulic device only horizontally.

6.1 Filling the hydraulic device with oil
1. Remove the transport stopper from the exhaust port.
2. Check the oil level.
If the piston of the hydraulic unit is completely extended, the oil level in the
reservoir lies about 2.5 cm below exhaust port.

4. Install the exhaust port.
Double-acting quarter turn actuator
1. Put the hydraulic bypass valve in the open position (OPEN).
2. Pressurise the port (2) until the piston is at the end stop of the hydraulic
cylinder.
3. Switch off the compressed air supply.
4. Put the hydraulic bypass valve in the closed position (CLOSE).
5. Remove the exhaust port

6. Remove the transport stopper from the top of the lower cylinder flange.
7. Put the multiple way valve in the open position (OPEN).
8. The pump lever moves until oil emerges from the connecting sleeve of the
cylinder flange.
The oil level must not drop below the feed tube.
9. Insert the provided exhaust stopper into the lower cylinder flange.
10. Actuate the pump lever until the piston extends completely.
11. Remove the transport stopper from the top of the adapter flange.
12. Put the multiple way valve in the closed position (CLOSE).
13. The pump lever moves until oil emerges from the connecting sleeve of the
adapter flange.
14. Insert the provided exhaust stopper into the adapter flange.
15. Put the multiple way valve into the neutral position.
16. Switch on the compressed air supply.
17. Run the quarter turn actuator through 2 complete cycles.
18. Put the hydraulic bypass valve in the open position (OPEN).
19. To vent the system, run the quarter turn actuator through 2 complete cycles.
20. Check the oil level in the reservoir.
21. Reinsert the exhaust port.
