Download the OLAS App from Google Play for Android
Devices or the App Store for iOS Devices.
2.
Select the phone icon.
3.
Follow the on-screen instructions and navigate to the
home screen.
4.
Check the status of your OLAS transmitter on the home
screen.
5.
The OLAS tag has a unique number identifier on the
silver foil sticker located on the back of the tag. This
number can be seen on the app home screen.
6.
When the OLAS transmitter is next to the phone it
should read ‘Immediate’.
Important: When testing it is important to carry out the following procedure to help simulate the situation on a
vessel moving away from the person overboard.
