WARNING:
•
The eye-protector offers no protection against IR radiation and thus should
not be used as primary protection in environments where dangerous levels of IR
radiation are present, for example where welding operations are carried out or the
casting of molten metal.
•
Whereas the eye-protectors offer adequate UV protection against UV sun
radiation, they should not be used in any environments where there are hazardous
levels of UV radiation present, such as in UV curing operations.
•
If the symbols F, B and A are not common to both the ocular and the frame then
it is the lower level which shall be assigned to the complete eye-protector.
•
Wherever a scale number marked 2C-shade, the colour perception won’t be
affected.
•
If the eye-protector conform to the high-speed particle classification at
extremes of temperature, the eye-protector should be marked with symbol T in
conjunction with either F, B or A; i.e. FT, BT or AT.
•
Eye-protectors against high-speed particles worn over standard prescription
spectacles may transmit impacts, thus creating a hazard to the wearer.
•
Check the eye-protector regularly for noticeable scratching, pitting or any other
damage to the lens, scratching, pitting, or other damage to the lens can seriously
reduce the level of impact protection provided by the product. Such products
should immediately be discarded and replaced.
•
Materials which may come in contact with the wearer’s skin could cause allergic
reaction to susceptible individuals.
