SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING
THE CAFETIÈRE.
•
T
he Cafetière is not designed for commercial or industrial use;
it is for domestic use only. If the Cafetière is used improperly
or for professional or semi-professional purposes or if it is not
used according to these instructions the Guarantee becomes
invalid and Dualit refuses any liability for damage caused.
•
T
his appliance can be used by persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and
knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand
the hazards involved.

D
o not operate the Cafetière if it is dropped and shows signs
of damage. Return appliance to the nearest Authorized Service
Centre for examination, repair or mechanical adjustment when
there is any indication of damage.

o not allow children to use, clean or play with this Cafetière.

AUTION HOT
1. Hot water is a hazard; risk of scalding.
2.
Prior to filling, place Cafetière on a dry, heat proof, non-slip
surface.
3. Do not place the Cafetière on a polished wood surface, it
could damage the wood.
4. Do not use on an uneven surface.
5.
Do not hold cafetiere whilst filling to avoid risk of scalding.
6.
Do not overfill Cafetière with coffee or water.
7.
Pour away from self and others when filling and serving.

AUTION: PLUNGING.
1. Ensure that the lid is fully positioned before plunging.
2.
Hot water may spurt out from spout or overflow, if overfilled.
3. Hold Cafetière by its handle when plunging.
4. Do not plunge with force, exercise extreme caution when plunging.
- Hand may slip off of knob.
- Cafetière may slip and spill when plunging.
5. Only hold the Cafetière by its handle, do not touch hot surfaces.

ilters may be hot after use. Do not touch the metal filter parts
when the product is in use.

D
o not place the Cafetière over or close to sources of heat such
as electric rings, hot ovens or open flames.

K
eep children at a safe distance while using Cafetière.
•
D
o not over tilt the Cafetière when serving.
•
A
llow the Cafetière to cool before cleaning and storing.
•
D
o not throw away the appliance with the normal household
waste at the end of its life, but hand it in at an official collection
point for recycling. By doing this, you help to preserve the
environment.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
Unpack the box with care, keeping all the packaging materials until
you are satisfied everything is present and in working order. Once
satisfied remove any tags from the Cafetière and recycle the
packaging appropriately.
BEFORE FIRST USE
1. Clean Cafetière body with a soft cloth and warm mild detergent or
place in the top rack of a dishwasher.
2.
Disassemble double filter. See below for instructions on how to
disassemble/assemble and place in the top rack of a dishwasher.
3. Ensure the cafetiere is positioned on a dry, heat-proof, non-slip
surface before use.
