CatStop Unit

Mounting Screws

How it works

1. Internal sensors detect the
warm body of the cat as it

  enters into the CatStop’s
  field of view.

2. The unit triggers a 3 second

  ultrasonic burst of sound.

3. A red light indicates
  that the CatStop! unit has

  been triggered.

Why it Works

1.   Unlike many pest deterrents that operate continuously,

the CatStop unit waits for the animal to come into its

range before activating, thereby creating a more

 startling

effect.

2.   Powerful burst of ultrasonic sound startles the cat.

3.   The cat equates the location with the unpleasant

  occurrence.

4.   The cat avoids the location in the future.

Installing Battery or Power Adapter

Power Jack

Battery:
1. Remove the battery door.

2. Install a new 9 volt alkaline battery.
3. Close the battery door.

Power Adaptor
1. Plug AC Adaptor into an outlet

2. Plug power jack into the CatStop unit.

•

When you first install the battery, the red

light will stay on for 40-60 seconds while

the unit warms up.

•

The red light stays on for 3 seconds

indicating that the unit has been
triggered.

•

Replace the battery when the red light
does not come on.

Lens

Speaker

•

Place the CatStop so it will have a clear view of the area you
are protecting; objects in front of the unit will prevent
  triggering and block sound.

•

Point the curved lens at the front of the unit toward the area
  to be protected.

•

Avoid pointing the CatStop at high traffic areas, like side
walks and roads or towards  plants that may move in the
wind.  This will cause the CatStop to activate frequently and
could  wear down the battery.  Alternatively, you can use the
CatStop with the Contech AC adapter.
