Lever/Lever, Knob/Knob Mortise Entry Set 
Installation Instructions

PREPARE THE DOOR & FRAME:

I. 

Prepare the door for installation according to the provided  

 

drill and mortise instructions. It is important that you    

 

confi rm all measurements prior to drilling the door!

II.  Install the mortise lock body using two of the 12-24 x 7/8”  
 

combination screws provided. 

INSTALLING THE HARDWARE:

III.  Slide the swivel spindle through the knob hole, making    
 

sure the spindle notch is located on the exterior side of the    

 

door and that both grooves are facing down. The  lever 

 

 

or knob set screw will seat in this groove. 

IV.  With the exterior plate held in position, install the mortise  
 

cylinder by screwing it clockwise into the lock body until  

 

tight and properly aligned. Use a key to test the function    

 

of the lock.  

V.  Align the exterior plate with the edge of the door, then    
 

taking care not to mark or scratch the plate, drill four  

 

 

1/8” pilot holes for the fastening screws. Secure the exterior  

 

plate to the door using the #6-32 x 1” screws provided.   

VI.  Slide the interior plate assembly into position with the    
 

turnpiece stem seated within the lock body. Test the turn-  

 

piece for proper functioning. 

VII. Align the interior plate assembly with the edge of the door,  
 

then taking care not to mark or scratch the plate, carefully   

 

drill four pilot holes for the fastening screws. Secure the    

 

plate to the door using the four #6-32 x 1” screws provided.

VIII. Seat the graphite washer on the base of the knob or lever,   
 

then slide the knob/lever on the spindle  until it sits against  

 

the hub. Secure by tightening the 1/4-28 set screw with the  

 

1/8” Allen wrench provided. 

IX.  Test the latching and locking mechanisms again, and once  
 

your are satisfi ed that they are working properly, tighten  

 

the two cylinder locking screws located in the face of the lock  

 

body. 

 

Install the lock face plate using the two #6-32 x 1/4”  

 

 

screws provided.

X.  Mortise the door frame and install the strike plate using two   
 

of the 12-24 x 7/8” combination screws provided.
