Banknote Checker

• It is easier to use the banknote checker when it
is not placed in direct sunlight.
• Do not place the banknote checker close to
magnetic fields.
• Unplug the product from the mains if you are not
going to use it for a long time.
Product description
Helps detect false banknotes by checking the water-
mark, security thread, size and UV properties. 230V.

Use
1. Connect the mains lead to a wall socket.
2. Turn the checker on using the power switch.
3. Place the note that you wish to check onto
the panel.
4. Press the UV/watermark switch to select a mode:
UV detection

White light

UV detection
• Genuine currency does not reflect white light
under a UV lamp, but appears dull. You should
be able to see the watermark, metallic security
thread and the foil strip contains holograms that
should appear bright yellow, blue or green.
These security features will not be visible on
counterfeit notes.
• The security features mentioned above can be
seen more easily with UV light.
White light
• Lay a banknote on the panel and inspect
the watermark, security thread and printing
registration.
Measuring the dimensions
• The scale on the panel can be used to measure
the size of the banknote. It can also be used to
check the position of certain security features.
Magnetism detection
• This function is only for those notes with
magnetic ink such as the serial number on
a Euro note or the head on a dollar bill.
• Press the magnetic part of the note against the
magnetism detector and pass it back and forth.
If an audible signal sounds and the green lamp
flashes, magnetic ink has been detected.
Opening
• The banknote checker has an opening so that
large documents can also be checked.
Care and maintenance
• Clean the checker using a soft cloth.
• Never use abrasive cleaning agents.
