Getting Acquainted

Congratulations upon your selection of this CASIO watch. To get the most out of your
purchase, be sure to carefully read this manual and keep it on hand for later reference
when necessary.

Expose the watch to bright light to charge its battery before using it.

You can use this watch even as its battery is being charged by exposure to bright
light.

Be sure to read “Battery” for important information you need to know when
exposing the watch to bright light.

Crown

Spacer

After purchasing the watch, be sure to remove the spacer from the crown.

A spacer is inserted under the crown at the factory to keep
the watch in a Power Saving Mode, which conserves
battery power. Remove the spacer as shown in the
illustration to the left before using the watch.

General Guide

Perform the operations described below to change between modes.

In the Timekeeping Mode, press 

A

 to illuminate the face of the watch.

Setting the Current Time

This watch features separate digital and analog timekeeping. The procedures for
setting the digital time and analog time are different.

Setting the Digital Time and Date

The digital display shows the current digital time and date. When setting the digital
time and date, you can also specify 12-hour or 24-hour format, the illumination
duration, and the day of the week language.

Whenever you need to adjust both the digital and the analog time settings, make
sure you adjust the digital setting first.

To set the digital time and date

1. Pull out the crown so the seconds digits are flashing.

This is the Time Setting Mode.

The analog hands stop moving when the setting
screen is displayed.

If the watch is in the Power Saving Mode and the
crown is already pulled out, first press any button to
exit the Power Saving Mode. This will display the
setting screen.

2. Use

4. Adjust the analog time.
5. After adjusting the digital and analog times, push in the crown to exit the Time

Setting Mode.

For more information about illumination duration, see “Illumination”.

The default illumination duration setting is one second when you purchase the
watch and any time after battery power drops to Level 4.

If you do not perform any button operation for two or three minutes while the setting
screen is on the display, the watch automatically enters the Power Saving Mode.

Day of the Week Languages

You can select one of six different languages (English, Spanish, French, German,
Italian, Russian) for display of the day of the week.

The default day of the week language when you purchase the watch or after battery
power drops to level 4 is English.

See the “Day of the Week List” for information about how days of the week are
displayed in each language.

To change the day of the week language setting

1. Pull out the crown so the seconds digits are flashing.

This is the Time Setting Mode.

The analog hands stop moving when the setting
screen is displayed.

2. Press 

B

 eight times to display the language setting

screen.

3. Press

 to cycle through the language settings in the

following sequence.

4. Adjust the analog time.
5. After adjusting the analog time, push in the crown to

exit the Time Setting Mode.

Setting the Analog Time

Perform the procedure below when the time indicated by the analog hands does not
match the time of the digital display.

When   (Level 3) is indicated for the battery power level, the second hand moves at
2-second intervals. For details, see “Battery Power Indicator and Recover Indicator”.

To adjust the analog time

1. Pull out the crown so the seconds digits are flashing.

This is the Time Setting Mode.

The analog hands stop moving when the setting
screen is displayed.

2. Rotate the crown to advance the minute hand to the

setting you want. Move the minute hand so it is four or
five minutes past the point where you will finally set it,
and then rotate the crown in the opposite direction to
move the minute hand back to the setting you want.

3. Press the crown back in when the seconds count on

the digital display matches the current location of the
analog second hand.

This re-starts analog timekeeping and returns to the
Timekeeping Mode.

To check the current day of the week language setting and illumination duration
setting

In the Timekeeping Mode, hold down

. This will display a screen like the one shown

below, which shows indicators for the current day of the week language setting and
the illumination duration setting.

About This Manual

Button operations are indicated using the letters shown
in the illustration.

For the sake of simplicity, the sample displays in this
manual do not show the analog hands of the watch.

Each section of this manual provides you with the
information you need to perform operations in each
mode. Further details and technical information can be
found in the “Reference” section.

Power Saving is turned on while the crown of the watch
is pulled out.

Perform the following steps before using the watch for
the first time. If the battery power indicator shows 
(Level 3) or if the digital display is totally blank (Level 4),
expose the watch to light until the battery power
indicator changes to   (Level 2) or   (Level 1) before
performing the following operations.

1. Press any button to exit the Power Saving Mode

and display the digital time setting screen.

2. Set the digital time.
3. Set the analog time.
