Care Solutions | GSM Gateway

The GSM Gateway of Bosch is designed to connect a
Carephone to a monitoring center through the GSM
network. This type of connection is independent of the
fixed-line network or broadband connection of the
subscriber. The GSM Gateway is meant to be used as a
backup system.

System Overview

The GSM Gateway contains a modem which translates the
dial request into a GSM protocol. The GSM Gateway thus
functions similarly to a GSM telephone with an analog
connection.
The GSM Gateway is equipped with a series of LEDs that
show its status and signal strength. A SIM card slot allows
easy programming.
Additional functions are available such as quick dialing,
forbidden calls indication and volume adjustment.

Installation/Configuration Notes

It is recommended to avoid using prepaid cards within the
GSM Gateway.
Use only rechargeable batteries as backup power system.
