Please read these instructions before use.

This bath seat is designed as a temporary seating aid only.

Do not use the seat as a step or transfer device.

Before use, ensure the rim of the bath is wide enough to

support the seat frame.

The Swivel Bath Seat is manufactured from
lightweight powder-coated metal with
moulded plastic seat, contoured back rest
and side support arms.

It comes fully assembled from the factory.

Positioning the seat

Place the bath seat over the bath, with self locking release lever
fitted on either side of the bath as preferred. Each of the four
non-slip handles should have a minimum of 25 mm resting on
the edge of the bath.

Adjust each positioning screw until the rubber tip presses
firmly against the side of the bath. For easier transfer the seat
can be set closer to the side of the bath by readjustment of the
positioning screws.

Before use, ensure the bath seat is squarely and securely
positioned over the bath.

Operating the seat

If bathing unassisted, ensure the user has sufficient strength to
operate the swivel lever mechanism.

The seat can swivel a full 360° in either direction, locking at 90°
intervals. The swivel mechanism is operated by pulling up on
the lever to release the lock and allow the seat to turn. The lever
may be stiff at first but will ease with use. The seat turns in 90°
intervals before the lock reengages.

Swivel the seat to face the side of the bath ready for transfer.
Always check how close the edge of the seat is in relation to the
rim of the bath, as transfer assistance may be required if the
seat is positioned too far from the edge of the bath. Ensure the
seat is locked in position before the user is seated.

Unlock the seat by lifting the lever and swing the legs over the
side of the bath while the seat is slowly turning 90·. The users
legs can be lifted together or one at a time. Before bathing or
showering, ensure the seat is securely locked in position.

For added comfort, it is recommended that towelling or other
material be placed over the seat – especially for male users.
