FOR PAINTBALL.  INTENDED FOR BENJAMIN PRE-CHARGED PNEUMATIC RIFLES ONLY!

1.0 FILLING YOUR BENJAMIN™ HPB3K HIGH PRESSURE BOTTLE SYSTEM

Your Benjamin PHB3K is designed for use with high pressure air.  Contact a center such as a dive shop or

paintball shop that is experienced in high pressure systems to get your

system filled.

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD THE BENJAMIN SYSTEM BE

FILLED WITH PURE OXYGEN!

When having your BENJAMIN™ HPB3K system filled, do not exceed

the pressure rating shown on your system’s storage bottle! A high pres-

sure gauge (part #3) showing bottle pressure is standard on

your system.

1.1 Your BENJAMIN HPB3K is equipped with the standard Quick Disconnect

“QD Style” fill nipple (part # 4). Your HPB3K must only be filled with Clean,

Dry compressed air, to a maximum pressure of 3000 PSI.

1.2 Be sure to have a qualified technician fill your HPB3K.  Centers such as

dive shops or paintball shops that are experienced in high pressure systems

should be qualified to fill the Benjamin HPB3K system.

1.3 Your HPB3K bottle is stamped with a date of manufacture as shown in

figure 1.3a.  This date is important as it represents the beginning of the 5 year

bottle certification.  Bottles older than 5 years from the stamped date must

be retested by a hydrostatic test.  Dive shops can perform this test and

re-certification.  It is illegal to fill a bottle that is beyond 5 years from the

last certification.

2.0 CONNECTING YOUR BENJAMIN™ HPB3K

2.1 The BENJAMIN™ HPB3K is factory set to deliver compressed air at 2000-2100 PSI with the use of  the

optional Benjamin Universal Fill Adapter, model FAH002, (see figure 2.1a) available at crosman.com. Refer to

the manual included with the Benjamin FAH002 for further connecting and filling instructions.

3.0 THE SAFETY SYSTEM

DANGER: MISUSE OF THIS PRODUCT MAY

CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH.

3.1 The regulator is equipped with an ASTM AP-

PROVED 5000 PSI Bottle Burst Disk (stamped 5K).

This is required by the Department of Transportation

(D.O.T.) DO NOT tamper with this system.

In addition to the required 5000 PSI safety burst

disk, the regulator has a 3000 PSI safety Burst Disk

(stamped 3K). The 3000 PSI safety burst disk is there to protect

the operator in the unlikely event that the regulator fails.

REMEMBER, most regulator failures are the result of con-

taminated air.

3.2 If the 3000 PSI safety burst disk vents, it did so for a reason.

Discontinue use immediately  and contact Pressure Specialists

Inc. at 1-815-477-0007 EXT 321 for further instructions.

3.3 ALWAYS check to make certain there is NO gap between the

Bottle and Regulator seal (see figure 3.4a).

3.4 IF there is a gap:

STOP!!! THE CYLINDER CAN FLY OFF WITH ENOUGH

FORCE TO KILL IF THE VALVE UNSCREWS FROM THE

CYLINDER!

DO NOT FILL OR USE YOUR SYSTEM!

Place the system on the ground and wait for the system to completely de-pressurize.  Contact a qualified

airsmith immediately or call Pressure Specialists Inc. for assistance at 1-815-477-0007 EXT 321
