Amendment to Installation  

Instructions Compact 3020 HE

This document refers to clauses of Installation instructions Compact 3020 HE, V-3020 

01 rev 1717 and adapts them, indicating the changes by stating “with the following 

modification”, “with the following addition”, “is replaced with the following”, “as it is 

stated” or “is not applicable”. It also adds clauses or sub-clauses to the structure of 

Installation instructions Compact 3020 HE, V-3020 01 rev 1717 which are particular to 

this amendment, V-3020 07 rev 1751. When applicable, the word “vehicle” could also 

mean “small craft”.

In the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, installers should refer to 

BSI PD 54823 and adhere to rules and regulations laid out in GSUIR and BSS.

 All safety information is marked with this symbol and shall be regarded 

even if the installation section is not applicable.

1. Intended use 

With the following modification;

 

- Only to be installed in small crafts used 

in inland waterways and only during con-

ditions with maximum waves according to  

Beaufort Scale 2.

 

- Always follow relevant sections of ISO 

10239 Small craft – Liquefied petroleum 

gas (LPG) systems.

2. Prohibited use

 

With the following modification:

 

Not to be used in any other crafts other 

than Canal or Narrow boats.

5:1 Important information

When placing outside the vehicle

“Only to be installed indoors in a dry 

compartment, not the engine compartment.”

5:4 Fitting a roof flue

 

With the following addition:

 

There must be a minimum lateral distan-

ce of 500 mm from a refueling point or 

fuel tank breather outlet or any ventilator 

outlet from the fuel system(s).

5:5 Fitting a wall flue

 

With the following addition:

 

All holes in the hull should be at least 250 

mm above the ”normally laden waterline”.

• Must not be positioned within 500 mm of 

vents, opening ports or hatch windows.

• Must not be positioned within an enclo-

sed canopy.

• Must be continuous and sealed from the 

appliance to terminal.

• Entire length must be accessible for 

inspection.
