Connecting devices to the wireless network

NOTE
The Wi-Fi feature of the VMG5304 must be enabled. Check the
WLAN
LED on
the front panel of your device to ensure that this is the case. It should be lit solid
green. If not, press the WLAN
button of the VMG5304 briefly (for about 1 second). The
WLAN
LED starts flashing
green and lights solid after approx. 15 seconds.
In a wireless home network, the connection between devices is established via
radio signals. This requires the devices to be equipped with a wireless adapter
that supports the 802.11 b/g/n standards.
The procedure for connecting wireless devices with your VMG5304 varies,
depending on the operating system (Windows, Linux, MacOS, Android, etc.).
Please consult the manual of your device for specific details.
Connecting devices under Windows 10
Click in the
Start menu
on
Settings
.
Click on the entry
Network and Internet.
Click on
WLAN
and you verify that the
Wireless network connection
is set to
On
.
Click under
Wireless Network Connection
on the wireless network name
(SSID) of your VMG5304 and then click
Connect
.
You will find the name of the wireless network (SSID) and the wireless security
key for the factory default settings on the nameplate at the rear of the device.
Enter the wireless security key (
WPA2 key
) in the
Enter Network Key
input field
and click
Next
.
Connecting devices under Android
For smartphones and tablets with the operating system Android 4.xx or higher,
please follow these steps:
Tap on the
Settings
icon and then select the item
Wi-Fi
.
Activate the Wi-Fi function.
Tap on the Wi-Fi name (SSID) of your VMG5304.
You will find the name of the wireless network (SSID) and the wireless security
key for the factory default settings on the nameplate at the rear of the device.
Enter the Wi-Fi key (
WPA2 key
) of your VMG5304 in the
Password
input field and
tap
Connect
.
