3 Installation
The converter does not require any configuration. You can start
using the converter by simply attaching the cables and applying
power. Please note that the maximum distance between the
converter and a phoneline networking switch is 500 feet (150
meters).
3.1
Desktop Installation
Place the converter on top of a clean, flat surface close to a power
outlet. Connect all the network cables and the power adapter.
Please ensure that:

It is accessible and cables can be connected easily.
Ÿ
Cabling is away from sources of electrical noise such as
radios, transmitters, broadband amplifiers, power lines and
fluorescent lighting fixtures.
Ÿ
Water or moisture must not enter the unit.
Ÿ
Airflow around the unit and through the vents in the side of the
case is not restricted (a minimum of one inch clearance is
recommended).
To prolong the operational life of your units:
Ÿ
Do not stack the converter more than eight units if
freestanding.
Ÿ
Do not place any object on top of the converter.
Ÿ
Do not obstruct any vent at the sides of the case.
