Troubleshooting
This chapter offers some suggestions to solve problems you might encounter. The potential
problems are divided into the following categories. See
Chapter 22 on page 203 for default
settings.
21.1 Power, Hardware Connections, and LEDs

The OMC does not turn on. None of the LEDs turn on.
Make sure the OMC is properly installed in the correct slot and the system power is properly
connected and turned on.

installing the management card and power connections for the OLT-2300.

The ALM 1 LED is on.
An alarm has been detected on the OMC, the fan module or the input alarm terminals of the
OMC’s alarm port. Examples of an alarm on the OMC are when the OMC’s voltage or
temperature is outside of the normal range. Check the logs to see the cause of the alarm. Take
appropriate measures to remove the cause of the alarm. For example, you may need to change
the fan module if the fans are not operating normally (see the OLT-2300’s User’s Guide for
directions).

One of the LEDs does not behave as expected.
