Hardware Description and Connection
2.1 Rear Panel
The t hree- pronged power recept acle is locat ed on t he rear panel of t he Swit ch. Refer t o t he power
supply requirem ents on the panel.

2.1.1 Rear Panel Power Connection
Connect one end of the supplied power cord to the power receptacle on the back of the Swit ch and
the other end to the appropriate power source.
For the GS1100- 8HP and GS1100- 16, use the
POW ER ON / OFF
switch to have the Switch power
on or off.
2.2 Front Panel
The front panel of the Switch includes the auto- negotiating 10 Base-T/ 100 Base-TX/ 1000 Base-T
RJ- 45 port s and t he LEDs.
The GS1100- 24 has two m ini- GBI C ports. Refer to
Section 2.2.3 on page 10
for m ore inform ation.
