Networking
6.1
Workgroup Networking Mode
ZXR10 2609/2818S/2826S/2852S is employed in workgroup-level networks like
enterprise and department networks. ZXR10 2609/2818S/2826S/2852S provides 8 to 48
10/100M interfaces. Number of interfaces can be extended through cascading of
switches. Extension slot can provide 100M or 1000M high-speed optical interfaces to
connect with backbone network or high-speed server. Networking structure is shown in

6.2
MAN Broadband Access Networking Mode
In construction of broadband MAN, ZXR10 2609/2818S/2826S/2852S can be equipped
at access layer of residential blocks or convergence layer of buildings. It can directly
provide 10/100M access of subscribers. It connects to switch at access layer for
example ZXR10 1816. With flexible uplink port of ZXR10 2609/2818S/2826S/2852S,
100M/1000M optical interface can be configured to connect to convergence node of
residential blocks. It builds a broadband service network for an information residential
block along with network management systems such as Broadband Access Server
(BRAS), and (authentication, authorization and accounting) AAA server.
Customer Premises Network equipment can be included via in-band or out-band mode
into the NMS of the entire MAN. It can also be managed with the network management
and service management system established in the residential complex. Networking
