Tips for using XT9 Text Input
Ignore double letters – XT9 Text Input will figure those out for you automatically.
Tap when you want to. If you want to enter a single letter, go ahead and tap.
Lift your finger at the end of the word. A space is added automatically when you begin to trace the next
word.
Text Input Settings
Choose the text input settings by tapping
Menu Key > Settings > Language & keyboard
from the Home Screen.
In the
Keyboard settings
section, you can choose the settings for Android keyboard and XT9 text input.
Android Keyboard Settings

Vibrate on keypress:
Select to make the phone vibrate on keypress.

Sound on keypress:
Select to make the phone sound on keypress.
•
Popup on keypress:
Select to display popup prompt on keypress.
•
Touch to correct words:
Select to correct entered words by touching them.
•
Auto-capitalization:
Select to capitalize the first letter in each sentence automatically.
•
Show settings key:
Choose to show or hide the settings key on the keyboard, or to show it automatically.

Voice input:
Select to display the voice input icon on the main or symbols keyboard. You can also hide the
icon.
•
Input languages:
Select the input languages, which you can change by sliding your finger on the spacebar.
•
Auto-complete:
Select to complete and insert current word automatically by tapping spacebar or punctuation.
