Hardware Installation
Installing Memory Modules
Your new motherboard has two 1.5V 204-pin slots for DDR3 SO-DIMM memory. These slots
support 1 GB/2 GB/4 GB DDR3 SO-DIMM devices. There must be at least one memory bank
populated to ensure normal operation.
Refer to the following procedure to install memory modules into the slots on the motherboard.
Note that there is only one gap near the center of the SO-DIMM slot. This slot matches the slot
on the memory SO-DIMM to ensure the component is installed properly.
1. Locate the SO-DIMM memory slots and insert a SO-DIMM memory module into the slot at a
45 degree angle.
2. Gently press down on the memory module until it locks into place by the arms of the memory
slot.

1. When installing two SO-DIMM memory modules, please insert a module into the lower
slot first.
2. When installing only one SO-DIMM memory module, please insert it into the lower
slot.
