After the modem completes a self-test, it synchronizes with the
cable provider network. During this process, the
SYNC
light
blinks, rapidly at first, then slowly. The
ACT
light flickers briefly as
the modem receives information from the cable provider.
Note:
Synchronization can take from 20 seconds to five minutes.
When the process is complete, the
SYNC
light becomes steady
On.
