Fitting the saw blade
Choose a blade suitable for the work in
question.
You can either use saw blades for a pin
socket or you can use universal blades by
securing the blade to the adaptor supplied.
The saw blade teeth must point downwards
as illustrated.
Tip the locking device (6) up and insert the
saw blade through the slit from below.
The pin or adapter should slip into the
bottom saw blade holder.
Pull the saw blade up and secure it in the
top saw blade holder.
Tighten the locking device until the blade is
suitably secured.
Start the fretsaw and let the blade run for
approximately 30 seconds.
Check that the saw blade runs quietly and
smoothly.
Removing the saw blade
Undo the locking device so that the spring
is loose.
Push the top blade holder down a little and
lift the blade out of the saw holder.
Pull the blade out of the bottom blade
holder and remove the blade from below.
Use
Mark the saw line on the workpiece.
Adjust the fretsaw as required.
Switch on the fretsaw using the on button
(1), and allow the blade to reach full speed.
Place the workpiece flat against the saw
bench and hold it with both hands.
Push the workpiece slowly against the saw
blade and turn it so that you follow the
marked saw line. Avoid twisting or pressing
the blade as you saw.
Turn off the fretsaw using the off button
once you have finished sawing.
Wait until the saw blade has stopped
completely before removing the workpiece.
