Air filter
Dirty air filters reduce the engine power due to insufficient air flow to the carburetor. Regular
monitoring, especially in dusty atmosphere is therefore essential!
1
•
To clean the air filter, first loosen the wing
nut (1) on the air filter housing, remove the
cover and take out the air filter elements.
•
Carefully clean the air filter elements under
running water and with a mild detergent.
•
Wring out the filter elements and let them
dry.
•
Drop a few drops of engine oil onto the air
filter elements.
•
Reinsert the air filter elements into the
housing and reinstall the cover.
NOTICE:
Never clean the air filter elements with
gasoline or flammable solvents: Warning. Fire or
explosion!
NOTICE:
Do not run the engine without an air
filter: This dust penetrates through the carbure-
tor and causing premature wear.
