Cutter knife exchange
•
Remove the two screws and nuts (2) and fold up
the ejector cover (1) to gain access to the knives..
•
Move the knife (3) to be replaced to the upper-
most position by turning the flywheel (4).
•
Remove the 4 screws (5).
•
Replace the knife (3) with a new one.
•
Mount the knife again (see illustration for cor-
rect position).
•
Tighten the 4 screws.
•
Check cutting gap and adjust if necessary
Check and adjustment of cutting gap
Check:
Take the setting gauge (1.6mm plate) and slide it be-
tween the chopper knives and the wear plate. If the gap
is set correctly, the gauge will lightly touch both the
knife and the wear plate. If the gap is too small, you will
not be able to slide the gauge between the knife and
the wear plate. If the gap is too large, there is too much
space between the knife and gauge, blade and wear
plate..
Adjusting cutting gap:
To adjust the kerf, loosen the four bolts (1) and nuts se-
curing the wear plate. The wear plate can be moved up
or down (in or out) to achieve the correct gap setting.
(check the setting over the entire width of the knife).
Tighten the nuts and bolts when the wear plate is in the
correct position. Make sure the flywheel turns without
hitting anything before starting the machine.
If the distance between the wear plate and the blade is
not properly adjusted, excessive vibration will occur dur-
ing chopping and the blade will appear dull.
This should be checked every 8-10 hours of operation.

V-Belt Tension control / adjustment and exchang
Belt tension check
The belt on the machine should deflect 10 mm under
the 4kg pressure shown in the figure. If this is not the
case, adjust the belt as followsRetighten the lock nut (3).
Belt tension adjustment:
1. remove the belt cover
2. loosen the fastening screws of the motor to the base
plate
3. Move the motor position until the correct belt tension
is obtained.
4. tighten the fastening screws again
Belt tension exchange:
To change the belt, loosen the belt tension and remove
the two belts. Then re-adjust the correct belt tension
and check the alignment of the clutch pulley to the mo-
tor pulley.
If an adjustment is necessary, make it only on the chop-
per wheel. Adjustment by moving the clutch wheel is
not permitted.
Then mount the belt cover again.
