Adjusting the counter-knife
The counter blade B can be adjusted by the chopping knives A at a distance of 0 to 0.75
mm. This distance should be maintained to achieve efficient operation. (Fig. 13)
It may happen that soft materials or wet wood chopping branches to the wind or not cut
cleanly. A worn counter blade can cause the same problem after repeated operation.
There is an adjuster on the right side bottom of the engine unit. To adjust the distance,
turn the handwheel clockwise C. A half turn brings the counter knife to 0.75 mm closer to
the chopping approach.
Take after setting some shredder trying ago to see if the best effect is achieved. Make sure
that the chopper blade touches the counter knife, especially when chipping of soft materials
or wet wood branches. If you work hard or dry materials, the counter knife should have a
corresponding distance from the chopper blades to avoid damage to the chopper
NOTE:
1.
Heavy material or branches lead to blocking of the chopper blade when they are chopped
through.
2.
Fill out the material to be chopped from the right corner of the hopper a forth.
3.
Examine the material to be chopped carefully. Make sure that it is not in contact with
stones or nails, as these could damage the shredder heavy.
4.
Check for signs of vibration. Strong vibrations caused by damaged or worn blades. Replace
the blade if necessary.
5.
Large objects or pieces of wood may be removed by the material removed is changed and
the same between the cutting and release direction of the chopper blade.
Caution! Always wait for the rest of the chaff, before turning it on again.
Longer material that protrudes out of the machine could turn out if it is confiscat-
ed by the chopper blades.
Please, keep a safe distance!
