Starting the Machine

Cold Start
When the engine is cold, press the primer
button (1) before starting.
The following recommendation applies with
regard to the number of button actuations
depending on the outdoor temperature.

Cold Start
Before starting, push the choke lever to the
foremost position.
1.
Pull the brake lever (1) towards the
handle and hold it.
Note:
Do not tighten the clutch lever
(2) during starting, this will prevent the
machine from moving forward.
2.
Grasp the starter handle and pull it out
slowly. The resistance becomes
strongest at a certain point. This point
corresponds to the compression point.
Let the rope roll back a little from this
point and then pull it out powerfully.
3.
Put the choke lever in the "RUN"
position after starting the engine.
