Your PC possesses an IP address and the NETCON MB/TCP Gateway is attached
to your PC through a crossover cable
Select for the NETcon MB/TCP Gateway an IP address which lies in the same subnet as
the IP address of your PC and adjust these using the @CHIPTOOLsoftware (
IP-
con
guration with CHIPTOOL).

Note! IP addresses in the network do not assign doubly!
6.3 IP-con
guration with CHIPTOOL
The Software @CHIPTOOLlists all IPC@Chips which were found in the network. One
of these IPC@Chips is implemented in the NETcon MB/TCP Gateway (
gure 1:
@CHIPTOOL).

Now choose the device, whose IP con
guration should be changed. Click with right
mouse button on the corresponding row and choose in the context menu <IP con
gu-
ration>. You can now see a window as shown in
gure (Figure 2: IP con
guration). Enter
the desired IP address, network mask and gateway if necessary. Click on button <con-
g> to transfer the data. You can leave the window by clicking the button <Close> when
the message "Con
guration successful" is shown up at the lower border of the window.
