USING YOUR
ZHUMELL MARINE BINOCULARS
INTERNAL RETICLE AND COMPASS ILLUMINATION
To illuminate the internal compass and reticle for low-light viewng, just
press and hold the power button top of the binocular. Illumination will turn
off when the button is released.
BATTERY REPLACEMENT
To replace the batteries that power the compass and reticle illumination,
remove the battery housing cover using a coin. Place two (2) batteries,
type SR-44, in the chamber with the negative side toward the binocular
body, and replace the battery housing cover.
USING THE RETICLE AND COMPASS
The Zhumell marine binoculars use degree measurements to determine
your position, which are read as follows:
North = 360, East = 90, South = 180, West = 270.

Distance
- If the height of a viewed object is known, use the following
equation substituting the object height for variable H:
L = H/MILS x 1000

Angle
- To calculate the included angle of a viewed object, use the
following equation:
x = 0.06 x MILS

Height
- If the distance to a viewed object is known, use the following equation
substituting the object distance for variable L:
H = L x MILS/1000
