Battery connection
10 kVA to 30 kVA
This UPS series adopts positive and negative double battery structure with common terminal, and with totally
configurable 16, 18 or 20pcs in series, depend on customer needs and autonomy. By this way it can be monitor
battery state and symmetry between both strings. It must be wired neutral battery terminal (BATN) on middle
battery element (8º, 9º or 10º). The battery sets between the positive terminal (BAT+) and neutral (BATN) are
called positive batteries and between neutral (BATN) and negative (BAT-) are called negative ones. (Fig. 5-4).
All 3 wires from battery to UPS must be same section.

As default, all UPS will be set in factory based on customer needs. All related settings can be modified by LCD
display menu.
All this adjustments must be done by trained and authorized personal, or contact ZIGOR to receive training or
technical assistance.
WARNING
If the load equipment is not ready to accept power on the arrival of the commissioning engineer then ensure
that the system output cables are safely isolated at their ends.
Connect the safety earth and any necessary bonding earth cables to the copper earth screw located on the
floor of the equipment below the power connections. All cabinets in the UPS must be grounded properly (Fig.
5-3).
WARNING
The earthing and neutral bonding arrangement must be in accordance with local and national codes of
practice.
WARNING
Ensure correct polarity battery string series connection, it means, connect from (+) to (-) terminals between
battery blocks.
