unmuted and the volume of the channel is changed as described for the
VOLUME
ADJUST
button. While in adjustment mode, the green LED is illuminated. Whenever the
MUTE
button is pressed, the current volume level is briefly displayed for your review.
Patch (PATCH)
A patch may be set up between channels or from the channel to a telephone line. Any
number of channels may be included in a patch. To set up a channel in the patch, press the
PATCH
button. While the patch is active for the channel, the green LED of its
PATCH
button is illuminated. During operation, the first channel to have receive activity causes its
receive audio to be transmitted on all other channels in the patch.
Main/Standby (MAIN/STBY)
Pressing the
MAIN
/
STANDBY
button causes the system to switch to the channel’s
standby base station. Pressing the button again causes the main base station to be switched
back in. While the main is active, the button’s green LED is illuminated. While the
standby is active, the button’s red LED is illuminated. Changing this causes all other
consoles to reflect the change on their
MAIN
/
STANDBY
buttons.
Monitor (MON)
Pressing this button causes the channel to disable its coded squelch (PL) decoding,
allowing you to monitor the channel before transmitting.
Volume Up (VOL UP)
Pressing this button causes the current volume setting for the channel to be displayed.
Holding the button causes the volume to increment up approximately three times per
second. Release the button when the desired volume is reached.
Volume Down (VOL DN)
Pressing this button causes the current volume setting for the channel to be displayed.
Holding the button causes the volume to be decremented. Release the button when the
desired volume level is reached.
EDACS Channel Functions
Scan
Pressing this key causes the EDACS radio to enable/disable scan mode. The green LED
reflects the state of the scan mode setting, green LED on indicates that scanning is on;
green LED off indicates that scanning is off. Pressing this key is functionally equivalent
to pressing the SCN button on the EDACS radio.
Scan Add
Adds and adjusted the priority of a talkgroup in the scan list.
